The Portrait Project is being exhibited at The World Theatre Gallery during November 2015!
An
exciting initiative begun in 2010 by photographer Karen Tenni, participants
were selected or nominated from Charters Towers Residents (approx 8,500 in the
region) and cover a broad spectrum of professions, ages and cultural
backgrounds, providing a diverse study of Australian regional life.
Begun
in 2010, with the support of the Regional Art Development Fund (RADF) - a Qld
government and Charters Towers Regional Council partnership, the exhibition at
the Don Roderick Gallery in October 2011 was celebration of the first part of a
multi-stage project.
